"KN95" is the standard for respiratory protection products GB2626-2006 issued by the National Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and the National Standardization Management Committee, not a specific product name. As long as it meets the KN95 standard and passes the standard GB2626-2006 for respiratory protection products, it can be called " KN95 type mask ".
In the GB2626-2006 standard, KN95 is the standard for dust protection, which is cheap and easy to be adopted by related dust industries. N95 masks are used for occupational respiratory protection, including certain dust particles (such as dust, smoke and other non-oil particles).
The biggest feature of KN95 mask is that it can prevent droplet infection caused by patient's body fluid or blood splash. The size of the droplets is 1 to 5 microns in diameter. U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires medical institutions that medical workers exposed to tuberculosis must wear masks that are above N95
